Kick-start your career

Graduate employability is a key strength at Keele, with 96% of students who graduated in 2017 finding employment or continuing on to further study within six months.

At Keele University International Study Centre, ‭we care about helping you fulfil ‭your career ambitions. With your future career ‭in mind, we have integrated CareerAhead advice and activities into our programmes.‬‬‬ 

What is CareerAhead?

CareerAhead is designed to give you ‭a head start in the global ‭graduate employment market by ‭helping you become a highly skilled, confident and ‭employable graduate. With our support, you will gain a greater understanding of the choices available to you, to ensure that you use your time at Keele University productively. This will enable you to be successful in the competitive graduate job market.

You will have the opportunity ‭to develop key employability ‭skills, such as problem solving, communication and teamwork.‭ You will also work on your time management skills.

Teachers in the International Study Centre will work with you in the classroom, in small groups and on an individual basis. With support, you will build your confidence and create a Personal Development Plan to identify your goals for future success.

Working during your studies

You can also build work experience by taking up part-time employment or a work placement during your studies at the International Study Centre. Find out more about working with a Tier 4 visa.
